Albatrosses
Albatrosses
are known for their excellent flying skills, and they can glide for miles on
end without having to flap their wings a single time.
This
bird is known to fly 49,700 miles without touching land.
As
we know, our planet Earth is only 24,860 miles (40,008 km) around, which means that the friendly albatross bird can fly
more than twice around the globe without touching land.
All
commercial jets can not do that!
The
distance from Thailand to Germany is 5,388 miles, and the distance from
Thailand to the United States is 8,614 miles. It is a
shorter distance for albatross to fly.
InterNations
has 4.5 million members around the globe. Some
of the 13,000 Albatross members are living in Thailand.
The
Albatross members have many activities all year round and offer global and
local networking opportunities both online and face-to-face.
I
am a newbie or a basic member of this esteemed group and hope to be "an Albatross Member" soon.
