-On April 21, 2020, Thailand’s Labor Ministry, has announced the “Prohibited Jobs for Foreigners in Thailand”.  Compared with the previous regulations of the prohibited jobs, I noticed that some strict rules were modified or deleted and fit for foreigners wishing to work in this Thai Kingdom.

*The following are the “Prohibited Jobs for Foreigners in Thailand” It is an unofficial translation, but I am pretty sure that my translation work is corrected!

*I am sorry that over 300,000 (three million) workers from neighboring countries of Thailand: Myanmar, Laos and Cambodia, who are the main strength labor forces in Thailand have become jobless due to the COVID-19 Global Crisis:  I am also in the same boat as you.

(๑) งานแกะสลักไม้ (1) Wood carving

(๒) งานขับขี่ยานยนต์หรืองานขับขี่ยานพาหนะที่ไม่ใช้เครื่องจักรหรือเครื่องกลในประเทศ ยกเว้น งานขับขี่เครื่องบินระหว่างประเทศ หรืองานขับรถยก (Forklift)  (2) Driving of motor vehicles or vehicles which do not use machinery or mechanical devices, except piloting aircraft internationally.

(๓) งานขายทอดตลาด (3) Front shop sales and auction sale work.

(๔) งานเจียระไนหรือขัดเพชรหรือพลอย  (4) Cutting or polishing precious or semi-precious stones.

(๕) งานตัดผม งานดัดผม หรืองานเสริมสวย  (5) Haircutting, hairdressing, or beautification.

(๖) งานทอผ้าด้วยมือ   (6) Cloth weaving by hand.

(๗) งานทอเสื่อ หรืองานทำเครื่องใช้ด้วยกก หวาย ปอ ฟาง ไม้ไผ่ เยื่อไม้ไผ่ พืชหญ้า ขนไก่ ก้านทางมะพร้าว เส้นใย ลวด หรือวัสดุอื่น  (7) Mat weaving or making utensils from reed, rattan, jute, hay, or bamboo.
