Jesus Christ was not a Christian, no Christian in the day of Jesus Christ.

People in other religions give the name "Christian"

In the time of Jesus Christ, while he was still wandering and teaching others on this earth. There was no "Christian", nobody is Christian by that time. Jesus Christ himself was not a "Christian" and His disciples were not Christians.

By that time, they called themselves, the "Followers of Jesus" or "Followers of the Teachings of Jesus".

The term "Christian" was used about 50 years after Jesus Christ ascended to heaven.

The person who used this term was not a follower of Jesus, but a native of Antioch. Most of them adhere to the Hellenistic religion, and the term Christian was first used in the city of Antioch. And "Christian" is an insulting word.

This made the disciples or followers of Jesus Christ are ashamed to be called "Christian" by that time, and feel sad that the people of this city called them "Christians".

The important follower of Jesus Christ who was in that time such as Peter, therefore comforted the followers of Jesus Christ to be patient and tolerant of this blasphemy.

However, many years later, the followers of Jesus Christ had accepted the word "Christian" and adopted it to this day.

And if you read the Bible and notice, the word "Christian" appears only twice; in the book of Acts. 11:26…. And it was in Antioch that the disciples were called Christians for the first time.

As mentioned above, the word "Christian" in the first century of the ascension of Jesus is a meaningful word sneering. This includes accusing followers of Jesus of being slaves of Jesus. It made the followers of Jesus weak and miserable, and Peter comforted them saying, do not be ashamed of this word that he called you that way… See 1 Peter 4:16 (TNCV), which says: "But if you suffer as a Christian, do not be ashamed. But glorify the Lord whom you are called by that name.

Yes, the whole info already exists in the New Testament. Today, the word Christian is a specific name for those who follow Jesus Christ, have the faith in him, and certainly sacrifice their life for him.
