The Naga people today and tomorrow
About three million Naga tribal people, (more or less)
inhabit the land-locked regions of Northeast India, mainly at the states of
Nagaland, Manipur, and at the vast area of the Sagaing Region of Myanmar, but
the Myanmar Government created a small place known as Naga Self-Administration
Zone (Naga-SAZ) for them to live.
At the long borderlines of India-Myanmar which is called the Free Movement Regime (FMR) is also live by over 300,000 Nagas and other non-Naga tribal people.
The Naga rebel groups such as the NSCN (IM) which have entered the ceasefire and engaged in political talk with India for the last 24 years have lost their way to reach their destination.
The NSCN (IM) has the high hope that India will give them freedom and sovereignty but does not study the fact that none of the Indian authorities, (the Indian Government, the Indian Prime Minister, and the interlocutors) has the power to grant them such sovereignty.
During the past 24 years, the Indian Government had assigned several interlocutors to talk with the NSCN (IM), making the NSCN members understand that the interlocutors have the powers, on behalf of the Indian Government, to give freedom and sovereignty for Nagas. (?)
****
Now, it is time that the NSCN-IM to wake up from their long sleep and forget the 24 years nightmare. They need to launch out the new plans, new strategies, including to listen the suggestion, ideas, and the voice, of the Naga younger generations.
It is also not wrong to renew their friendship with their former friends, the ISI, the Bangladesh DGFI, and the Chinese comrades and assign their cadres to work aboard or even hire someone working on their behalf.
Although most of their Chinese friends are in advanced age,
some are bed-ridden patients. The younger Chinese generations working at their
national security unit such as the MSS, still have their official record-
recording that Naga people and the NSCN-IM are their friends.

Additional Info
NSCN- IM and other NSCN groups and several
secessionist groups in India such as the ULFA may already know that Clause 3,
Article 3 of the Indian Constitution stipulates that "No Indian State can
secede from the Indian union".
Although the central government decides to divide, make
changes to the border, etc., of the states but states cannot leave the Indian
union. So Indian Union is an Indestructible Union of destructible states.
The content in it does not complicate the said Article for the
NSCN leaders or even those who do not know legal terms can make their
comprehension.
Because of this law, both India and NSCN IM will never reach their final agreement (?) as the core demands of the NSCM I-M group is for the creation of sovereignty Nagalim, the demand that will never accept by India unless India changes or amend the constitution for the "solution of Indo-Naga problems and give up to I-M!
But such phenomena will never happen as long as the Sun rises in the East and set in the West.
No doubt, the GOI leaders in the past and present and the collective leadership of the NSCN (I-M) know very well what they are talking about this during the time of over two decades.
They talked about the subject that they know that there will be no final agreement.
In Clause 4. Article 2 states that the parliament may, by
law, admit new states into the Union of India or establish new states on terms
and conditions it deems fit. For the egg. The addition of the State of Sikkim by
the 35th (1974) and 36th (1975) constitutional amendments.
####
>>In summary, the GOI in the past and the present have no right to give Nagaland or any territorial area in India for Nagas to create their sovereign Nagalim (for the separated country).
GOI cannot give any terrorist groups in the country to create the sovereign country inside India unless present India's Constitution is amended to favor Nagas.
As to the Act East policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi
that also passes through the area of NAGA-SAZ, Naga people should support it as
it is the gateway to ASEAN and also to Ruili-Muse which is the official gateway to
China.
>>The Indo-Myanmar border pass in Naga-SAZ is an
important international trading hub and "India's gateway to ASEAN",
but both India and Myanmar still do not fully use it or develop it at the
international level from Look East into Act East.
>>At present, they still carried the trade here out at the local level. And according to the report, they designated it every Friday as "Burma Day" when local villagers can cross to India, visit or trade at Nampong Market Place.
Citizens from the Indian side may visit Pangsaung village every the 10th, 20, and 30th day of every month which is known as "India Days". It is the routine, nothing is more progress in that area.
Naga leadership at all levels especially the NSCN-IM, must
have a new plan, new strategies including going out to the outside world, seeking more friends, not
only confining themselves at the jungle of Somra Tract, or Camp Hebron!
