Let's support the Act East Policy (AEP) of the Indian Prime Minister.
Suthep Chaviwan.
Since coming to power in 2014, the Indian government under PM Narendra Modi has rebranded the Look East Policy as the Act East Policy (AEP) aiming to fulfill its long-term developmental goals for its North-Eastern region and to open up an additional avenue to speed up its economic growth to counter Beijing's rising clout in South Asia.
Over eight years passing by since ASEAN leaders announce and witness the policy at the 12th ASEAN-India Summit held in Myanmar in November 2014. We know that the "Act East Policy" at present has been less effective, but not a failure.
The land route from India, a part of AEP, to other countries aiming by the AEP will also pass through India-Myanmar borders at Changlang–Nanyun
Districts which are the premises of many world-historical sites; the World War
II Stilwell Road, (Ledo Road) the mysterious of the Lake of No Return which the
local people believe that during the World War II, large numbers of aircraft to have perished into this lake, and No return.
Naga hill community should support the AEP and seek financial support from the center to operate the work relating to the AEP.
One of the first projects that the Naga Community can do is to establish a tour agency to bring Naga tourists to visit Thailand.
The package tour–can serve the Naga community who wish to visit a foreign country for changing the atmosphere from their hills to seas. If the government does not finance the project, an individual Naga person or a group of persons can operate this work.
There are many beautiful islands, and beaches in
Thailand to welcome Naga tourists who can fly from Guwahati to Bangkok.
The proverb said that 'a journey of a thousand miles begins
with a single step' and you can complete it if you first start it.
History will record that it is the Naga Hills people who
play some roles for the AEP achievement.
