Naga Relief and Development Project 2022-2026 (INR 85,000,000+) But the budget will be multiplied or enlarged several times over that period depending on the needs of the people and the proposals for projects.
===========
Naga village communities and their local churches in Nagaland, Manipur, and Sagaing Region which were inhabited by Naga people shall operate the projects. But should supervise by Naga elders.
Tentative plans:
Target 1: To invite different organizations, mostly
Christians worldwide, to help develop work in all fields which are needed by
Naga communities in Naga areas such as water projects; help to provide
sanitation and hygiene, training, and constructing other sustainable projects.
Target 2: To educate children in remote and disadvantaged areas of Naga people. By doing this, it is another way to help local authorities fulfill the educational work. At present, we know that the government-run school is not enough to meet the demands of children in schooling ages. We want our Naga children to access basic primary education that is free and free meals while in school. But above all, we want them to finish primary education school, becoming responsible citizens so that they can contribute to the development of their Naga villages.
Target 3: If the donors wish to help develop our Naga communities, but do not have their field workers. We are happy to welcome them to work through their assigned persons in the projects that they want and we will give the full report about such projects. We will try to do this sort of work corresponding to the needs of villagers. Doing all infrastructural projects for our poor villagers. Help their children to have education and help the sick villagers to have medical treatment.
Target 4: We regard self-help development projects as very important for our Naga villagers. Among the sustainable projects that we want to do are a sustainable solution for fighting poverty; these projects are including poultry of livestock such as raising pig, cow, goat, and other agricultural work; coffee plantings so that the villagers can support themselves in the future. The projects, however, must be corresponding to the needs of their communities.
Target 5: The agricultural projects or livelihoods program aims to reduce the poverty level and raise the standard of living among local people, which will help local villagers there is to grow the crops for their consumption and the crops that are needed by markets in other regions. These crops are Cardamom, Cinnamon, Myrrh, (Indian) Red Sandalwood, Clove, Soy, beans, and Kidney beans. The crops will help to have a sustainable income for the villagers and to raise the standard of living among them.
Target 6: Providing access to quality education through the higher education levels, is to help the Government which is facing stripped cash for education.
We aim the projects will increase and expand; letters to UN Agencies, Charity Organizations, International NGOs, asking them to sponsor social development work. Self-help development programs such as agricultural work; growing cash crops including Cardamom, Cinnamon, Myrrh, (Indian) Red Sandalwood, Clove, Soya Bean, and Kidney Bean, animal husbandry- cattle, sheep, goats, pigs, and poultry.
Other Self-supporting projects such as 1. Giant Water Bug
Breeding Project 2. Field Crab Breeding Project 3. Bamboo Growing Project 4. An integrated horticulture Project (Mixed garden), should add to the
self–help projects.
Nagas's Cooperatives aims to assist agricultural works; helping each other's selling their products at local markets in faraway markets. We know that charity organizations, foreign aid donors including the United Nations agencies are in the positions to support and sponsor the proposed projects.
Nagas' Cooperatives is a non-political and non-profit organization to upgrade the living condition of tribal Naga and get rid of the suffering life of indigenous people in this region and assisting the main Naga body for seeking foreign donors or sponsors to help develop the areas and the children to have the chance to access educations at least receiving the compulsory education enforcing to by UNESCO.
As we know, most areas in the Naga regions; still have no proper roads, but only unpaved, gravel roads and muddy paths. The physical geography of rural areas differs from other states in the country where international organizations and NGOs can access by road and are doing their work easier.
We know that the governments of either India or Myanmar are
facing stripped cash to build infrastructures in the areas and some government
schools are not enough. We hoped that the church bodies will cooperate with
international agencies and grant permissions to foreign organizations to work
on relief and development projects providing that they avoid interfering with
domestic politics.
The above matters are the viewpoints of the writer. They need to review, edit and add for corresponding to the needs of local communities. We knew that money for the projects is not a problem for the donors. The problem is, do the Naga communities have the projects or not?
